All of us here at South Coast Roller Derby sincerely miss practices, bouts, and time with our community. We know that COVID-19 has taken so much from individuals and families, and we are sorry we were not able to spend more time with one another in 2020. Still, we understand that we are incredibly fortunate to have each other, even as we are social distancing. We hope you have been staying safe and healthy.

Many individuals have reached out to us in recent months to ask when we will return to the track. Unfortunately, we do not have a clear answer just yet. The community center where we host our practices has remained closed since March 2020, and we are following public health guidelines and WFTDA’s return-to-play guidelines. Case numbers are still high in southern California, but we hope to feel the smooth concrete underneath our quad wheels soon.

2021 Season Outlook

We do not know when we will be able to hit the track again, but we will keep everyone updated as soon as we know. At this time, we have not announced any bouts for the 2021 season. We must first return to practices, get back in the groove, and determine rosters for our two teams. We will then announce games for the upcoming season. Please stay tuned!

Check out our Facebook and Instagram to follow updates from the league, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions. If you want to support the league during this time, remember to choose SCRD as your charity on Amazon Smile!

Join Us When We Return!

We hope to schedule another New Skater Bootcamp when we have a better understanding of what our schedule will look like in 2021. In the meantime, we are always happy to continue answering any questions or concerns you have via email at scrdpr@gmail.com.

We wish you and your family good health as we look to put COVID-19 in the rearview mirror soon. Take care of one another, and stay in touch!
