Community

South Coast Roller Derby is proud of our home and driven to benefit our community, both through the love of derby and charitable events.

Looking Forward to our Next Charity Fundraiser!

South Coast Roller Derby’s Jamming for Jugs has been a passion of ours for several years, and we were sad to miss it in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jamming for Jugs gives us the opportunity to bring together skaters, officials, and other volunteers together from all across southern California (and sometimes out-of-staters!) to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. This B-level, double-elimination tournament has been a fixture in Southern California women’s roller derby since its inception in 2017.

We hope to be able to have some version of Jamming for Jugs in 2023! We plan to ask 6 teams to join us for a full, fun day. More information will be released on our Facebook page as we get closer to the event.

Want to join us as a team or volunteer? Please email us at jammingforjugs@gmail.com. If you are interested in donating tax-deductible items for our raffle, please contact us on Facebook or email us at scrdpr@gmail.com or jammingforjugs@gmail.com.

2019 Jamming for Jugs Recap

In case you missed it, our 3rd Annual Jamming for Jugs tournament was on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the Laguna Hills Community Center in Laguna Hills, California. A portion of all proceeds from team registration, raffle ticket sales, and concession sales was donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Thank you to all who participated!
